Butch Monaco was born 1964 in Bayshore Long Island, NY some of his earliest memories filled with music as his father was a local drummer playing in NYC and Long Island.

1974 Butch relocated to Pompano Beach, Florida, where he started to fall in love with the blues and country music.

1979-82 Butch worked at a local Rock and Roll bar during High School was able to see many famous and local musicians perform and that inspired him. This ultimately shaped his style of music.

1982-1985 Butch joined the service, in the Armed Forces 82nd Airborne Division. (Cco 2/505 Abn Inf) 1982 joined the “One Hung Low Band” with a few like minded southern pickers including Mickey Gilley and Joe West. We played many venues across Florida till 2002.

Butch retired from the hustle bustle of America and moved to Thailand to pursue the pursuit of happiness in 2013.

In 2017 Butch was fortunate enough to perform at one of the Greatest Toys for Tots events in the USA, these concerts were in South Florida as Biggershot. Currently recording and back in South Florida from Thailand joining with some local talented artists on the scene to continue the life we love and make music.

In this latest chapter of South Florida I’ve had the pleasure of getting to perform with Stet Blancett, Stashbox, Tribute Bob Dylan, Joey Gilmore, Lance Dominic, Pat Fent, Squidly Cole (Stephen Marley’s Drummer).
